This Privacy Notice for Clients explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use the Kontak mobile application (the “App”) to find and engage Service Providers for services (“Clients”).

This Privacy Notice is issued in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and other relevant privacy laws and issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC) of the Republic of the Philippines.

3. What Personal Data We Collect

When you use the App as a Client, we may collect the following types of personal data from you:

Information You Provide Directly:

Account Information: Full name, email address, phone number, physical address, username, and password.

Service Requests: Details of the services you request, including the type of service, desired location for service delivery, preferred date and time, and any specific requirements or instructions for the Service Provider.

Communication Content: The content of your communications with Service Providers through the App, as well as any communications with our customer support team.

Payment Information: Payment card details, e-wallet information, or other payment method information necessary for processing payments for services. Please note that payment processing may be handled by third-party payment processors, and their privacy policies will also apply.

Feedback Data: Information you provide when rating and reviewing Service Providers, participating in surveys, or providing feedback about the App.

Information We Collect Automatically:

Device and Usage Information: Information about your mobile device, including the device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address, mobile network information, browser type, and software information. We also collect data on how you interact with the App, such as features accessed, pages viewed, time spent on the App, clickstream data, and crash logs.

Location Data: With your explicit consent, we may collect your precise or approximate device location data through GPS, Wi-Fi, or cellular network data. This is used to connect you with nearby Service Providers and to enable location-based features of the App. You can control the collection of your location data through your device settings.

Transaction History: Records of the services you have engaged, the Service Providers you have used, the dates and times of service delivery, and the payments you have made.

Information We Collect from Third Parties:

Service Providers: We may receive feedback, ratings, or reviews about your interactions as a Client from Service Providers.

We process your personal data for the following purposes, based on the identified legal bases under the Data Privacy Act of 2012:

To Provide and Maintain the App Services (Performance of a Contract):

Creating and managing your Client account.

Enabling you to search for and find suitable Service Providers.

Facilitating communication between you and Service Providers regarding your service requests.

Processing your payments for services.

Providing customer support and technical assistance.

Managing and responding to your inquiries and requests.

For Safety, Security, and Fraud Prevention (Legitimate Interests and Compliance with Legal Obligation):

Detecting, preventing, and addressing fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other illegal or harmful activities on the App.

Enforcing our Terms and Conditions for Clients and other policies.

For App Improvement and Personalization (Legitimate Interests):

Monitoring and analyzing usage trends and patterns to improve the App’s functionality, features, and user experience.

Personalizing your search results and recommendations for Service Providers.

Account information will be retained as long as your account is active.

Transaction records will be retained for periods required by tax and accounting laws (e.g., 10 years for certain financial records).
